Climate Change and Renewable Energy Supplementary Planning Document - Scope
North East Derbyshire District Council is intending to prepare a new Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) on Climate Change and Renewable Energy.
The intention of this SPD is to provide further information and guidance on the way in which policies relating to climate change and sustainable development in the North East Derbyshire Local Plan (adopted in November 2005 and saved until the LDF Core Strategy is adopted) should be implemented.
The Council is in the very early stages of this work and have drafted a scoping document as a first step. This document can be downloaded below. We would welcome your views on it, in particular whether you think that the SPD covers the right issues and that we are proposing to consult the right people/interest groups.
The deadline for submitting views is the 17th July 2009 Climate Change and Renewable Energy Scope Document (37 KB)

Core Stategy Issues and Options
North East Derbyshire District Council is preparing a set of new planning documents to replace the Local Plan that was adopted in November 2005. These new documents, collectively called the Local Development Framework, will guide future planning decisions in the area.
The Core Strategy will be the key document in this portfolio of planning documents. It will set out a Vision for the area based on evidence and community and partner objectives and take into account not only land use, but also environmental, economic and social aspects.
We have now prepared the Core Strategy Issues and Options for consultation. This document sets out 15 key issues and 4 development options that address these issues. This document can be downloaded below. An information leaflet is also available.
We would like to invite people’s views on these issues and which options for development they prefer. Please submit your views and comments by clicking the “make a new representation” box.
The deadline for submitting views is the 26th June 2009
